Frb research GRANTS foR wRiteRs
FRB grants are available to scholars, researchers, and independent researchers interested in documenting and analysing contemporary issues concerning Iraq’s political landscape, society, and relations with regional and international state, and, non-state actors. We also grant funding to support events planning, for those interested in holding talks, events, and exhibitions touching of similar matters. Research funding is available to academics and journalists.
FRB supports critical outlooks and approaches to understanding Iraq and changes in neighbouring states. Those that set out to challenge illusionary narratives on Iraq are encouraged to reach out, to ignite illuminating debates. Submissions must meet the minimum 4,000 word limit, and must not exceed 10,000 words. FRB also accepts pitches for long-read articles or investigative pieces.
