Back in October 2015, Iraqi armed forces announced Baiji's liberation. What followed was marked by destruction and plundering - a story untold to the wider world. As the city await reconstruction, official sources have alleged that sections of the refinery have been dismantled, looted and sold for profit. Iraq has lost out on half of the refined fuel that the oil city once provided. Worse still, the latest sprees of theft may incapacitate the refinery complex beyond repair. FRB caught up with ex-oil minister Issam Chalabi and Saadallah Fathi to investigate these claims.
Iraq must be returned to Iraqis !!
